The Yale Film Study Center’s mission is to foster a robust film culture at Yale through collection, preservation, access, and exhibition. An Associate of the International Federation of Film Archives, the FSC supports research, teaching, and learning with its extensive 35mm, 16mm, Blu-ray, DVD, VHS, and screenplay collections. The Center’s facilities include screening rooms and individual viewing stations.

Entry to the building requires card-swipe access with an active Yale University ID card, except during public events. The ID cards of all Yale students, faculty, and staff are automatically set up for access to the building. Special arrangements can be made for visiting scholars.

Directions

The Film Study Center is in room B-17 of the Whitney Humanities Center, corner of Wall and Church Streets. Users should enter at 53 Wall Street, and walk down one flight of stairs. Please note that there is no elevator in the building.
