Kelly Blanchat
Hello From Your Personal Librarian
I'm here to help guide you through using Yale Library, from finding and evaluating resources, accessing special collections, developing a strong research proposal, and more. Part of what I love about my job is the constant discovery Yale Library offers, including hearing about my student's research interests. Reach out to me as soon as you have a paper assignment or a question about using the library: kelly.blanchat@yale.edu [1].
How can I help you?
I will:
- Help you get started with college-level research
- Keep you informed about resources, such as library workshops and tours [2] and Borrow Direct and Interlibrary Loan [3]
- Answer questions about library policies, such as circulation, reserving study space, and building access
- Assist you with articulating a research question, formulating a search strategy, and identifying sources
Things I don't do (but I'll help you find out who can)
I won't:
- Set up your computer
- Make photocopies
- Write your paper for you (that part's up to you, but I can put you in touch with the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning [4] or a residential college writing tutor)
