Access to NYT.com
Access to the New York Times at nyt.com is limited to current Yale University faculty, students, and staff.
Please note: NYT.com access is not available to YNHH staff.
Existing Yale University users:
- Sign in to Yale's Cisco AnyConnect client and log in with your netID, password, and Duo multifactor authentication.
- Go to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/.
- Type “Yale” in the box and then select Yale University from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Already have an account? Log in here”.
- Enter your existing username (Yale email address) and your New York Times account password. (please note: if you have an existing NYTimes account with your yale.edu email address, you will need to use that email to re-register).
- If you are a student, indicate “student” and enter your graduation date. If you are faculty or staff, select faculty/staff.
- Click “Login” and you will be directed to NYTimes.com.
- Log out of Yale's Cisco AnyConnect client.
New Yale University users:
- Sign in to Yale's Cisco AnyConnect client and log in with your netID, password, and Duo multifactor authentication.
- Go to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/.
- Type “Yale” in the box and then select Yale University from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Create Account”.
- Enter your name and email address and create a password.
- If you are a student, indicate “student” and enter your graduation date. If you are faculty or staff, select faculty/staff.
- After registration, faculty and staff access remains in effect for one year. Student access remains in effect until the graduation date entered by the student.
- Click “Login” and you will be directed to NYTimes.com.
- Log out of Yale's Cisco AnyConnect client.
Just registered or re-registered?
Proceed to https://www.nytimes.com/ from any location and log in with your email address and NYT password.
