Yale Library - Fall 2020 Access Information

The following libraries will reopen on Aug. 31 to current Yale faculty, graduate and professional students, and staff authorized to work on campus: Bass Library, Gilmore Music Library, Haas Arts Library, Marx Science and Social Science Library (formerly CSSSI), and Sterling Memorial Library. Cushing/Whitney Medical Library reopened on August 24. Undergraduate students enrolled in residence will also have access to these libraries after completing the required quarantine period. Students enrolled remotely will not have have access to library buildings and reading rooms.

The Classics Library is unstaffed and open only to graduate students and faculty in the Classics Department. For questions about its collections, please contact Classics Librarian Colin McCaffrey. The Divinity Library will open on Aug. 31 for Divinity School faculty, staff, and students only. Opening hours will be limited initially, and some spaces within the libraries will remain closed to comply with health and safety guidelines. Spaces and services will be modified to support physical distancing, limit face-to-face interactions in library spaces, and ensure full compliance with health and safety guidelines. The contact-free pickup service currently operating in Thain Café will move to Sterling Nave.
