The purpose and ultimate destination of links must be clear from the text of the link itself or the link text and the text immediately around it.

  • Do not use ambiguous wording such as "click here." Rather, include what the action will do, such as "download the 2015 report."
  • In a single page do not provide links labeled with the same text that go to different places.
