Bridging Paul Rudolph Hall and the Jeffrey Loria Center for the History of Art, the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library houses the former Art & Architecture, Arts of the Book, and Drama library collections, as well as staff and services for the Visual Resources Collection. On-site, the library contains approximately 125,000 volumes, plus related rare and unique materials. Off-site, over 300,000 arts books and periodicals are stored in the Library Shelving Facility for delivery to any Yale Library.

Access

Public Hours: During regular semesters, a valid Yale ID with activated swipe access is required for entry after 6pm Monday – Thursday and on Sundays, and after 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

All visitors must comply with Yale COVID-19 visitor policies

Directions

The Arts Library is located at the corner of Chapel and York Streets.  Users should enter through the door for the Loria Center, 190 York Street, and proceed straight ahead to enter the library.
