This spring, we'll bring you more than 40 films from around the world, with a full Stanley Kubrick retrospective, a musical commemoration of America 250, and an exploration of the artistry of Meredith Monk. All that, plus visits from filmmakers Charlie Kaufman, Rebecca Miller, Greg Mottola, Alex Ross Perry, and Billy Shebar!
Doors open half an hour before each screening.
The Yale Film Archive has been awarded a grant from the National Film Preservation Foundation to preserve two early films by Yale alumna Jacqueline Leger: Sunday Morning (1971) and Jocko’s New Haven (1976).

Unless noted, screenings take place on the lower level of the Yale Humanities Quadrangle, located at 320 York Street, between Elm and Grove in New Haven. Doors open half an hour before each screening.
Wisemania is a multi-year exploration of the works of documentarian Frederick Wiseman, drawing on the collection of more than two dozen 16mm prints the Yale Film Archive acquired from Wiseman’s Zipporah Films in 2024. All screenings are free and open to the public.
The O Canada film series brought Yale audiences a selection of features and shorts from the True North strong and free. Spanning nearly 60 years, the series incorporated nonfiction, drama, comedy, and experimental animation, and included films in English, French, Inuktitut, Arabic, and Persian. All screenings are free and open to the public.

The Five for Fonda series featured a selection of films starring or about actor Henry Fonda, in celebration of the 120th anniversary of his birth. All screenings were free and open to the public.

Don't miss any of the action with the Yale Film Archive's new slate of films, all free and open to the public. This spring will feature brand-new 35mm prints of the #1 and #2 greatest films of all time (according to the latest Sight and Sound critics' poll), along with many other pristine prints, three filmmaker visits, a talk on film preservation, and a few more surprises we'll announce soon.
Presented in the spring of 2025, French 75 featured a trio of Francophone films from 1975, marking their 50th anniversaries.
