Most of our collections are now located in the Library Shelving Facility, which is in Hamden, Connecticut, about four miles from campus. For collections located there, materials will be retrieved according to the following schedule:
- Materials requested between 8:45 AM and 10:00 AM:
Available the same day at approximately 3:00 PM.
- Materials requested between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM:
Available the next business day at approximately 10:00 AM.
- Materials requested after 1:00 PM:
Available the next business day at approximately 3:00 PM.
The staff will retrieve materials from our onsite locations at approximately 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Materials will be available one half hour later. As time and staff levels permit, we may be able to accommodate requests for on-site materials at other times as well.
PLEASE NOTE: In preparation for Manuscripts and Archives’ renovation project, several thousand on-site publications are being assessed for conservation and may be processed offsite. As a result, the retrieval of on-site publications may take up to 48 hours.
