Update from the Yale Film Archive

March 9, 2026

The Yale Film Archive has made changes to increase and improve our support for research, teaching, collections building, preservation, and programming. These changes will also expand access to our viewing facilities and video collection.

  • DVDs and Blu-rays will now be requested through Quicksearch and picked up at the service desk of any library across campus.
  • Course reserves will be serviced via the Bass Library, and will be available for pickup at the Bass Library service desk, giving students improved access to materials during Bass’s longer hours of operation.
  • The viewing booths and screening room have transitioned to a self-service model, and the spaces can be reserved through Libcal. The extended opening hours for these spaces now align with Sterling Memorial Library’s hours.

Look forward to exciting information about new acquisitions and a new student internship program!
