Description:

This service is for Yale Library staff who would like to have web content archived or backed up for future reference. This service uses the Internet Archive's Archive-It! web archiving platform for collecting and providing access to web content.

Requesting and accessing this service

How do I get it?:

A Service Now ticket must be submitted with the following information:

· Type of service requested: archive or back-up

· Is this a dark archive or will it need to be available upon request

· URL of the main page(s)

· Access Restrictions (if any)

· Deadline (for grant fulfillment or course work)

How do I access it?:

Archived content will be available in Preservica, backed-up content will be available through a S@Y share or through ArchiveIT.

Are there any specific policies and procedures outlined for your service offering?:

Any request for web archiving will be reviewed by Manuscripts and Archives to determine if the material is appropriate for intuitional preservation.
