Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library
Bridging Paul Rudolph Hall and the Jeffrey Loria Center for the History of Art, the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library houses the former Art & Architecture, Arts of the Book, and Drama library collections, as well as staff and services for the Visual Resources Collection. On-site, the library contains approximately 125,000 volumes, plus related rare and unique materials. Off-site, over 300,000 arts books and periodicals are stored in the Library Shelving Facility for delivery to any Yale Library.
The library is open to the public Monday through Thursday 8:30am – 7:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. After 7:00pm on weekdays and all day on weekends, a Yale ID card is required to enter the building. The Arts Library is located at the corner of Chapel and York Streets. Users should enter through the door for the Loria Center, 190 York Street, and proceed straight ahead to enter the library.
