Emulation as a Service

This is the home page of the Emulation as a Service area of the YUL website.  It has a unique feature where the left column has a box with fixed content in it and a navigation menu.

You can edit the content that will show up in the left column.  If you hover your mouse of the top-right corner of the text, you should see a little gear icon.  Click the gear icon and click Edit.  Alternatively, you can edit it directly at /node/161416.

There are two things that you should keep in mind to build out your pages.

Your page will not appear in the menu unless you manually choose to add it.  To do this,

1. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click the tab labeled Menu settings
2. Tick the box labeled Provide a menu link
3. Enter the text that you'd like to have appear for the page in the field labeled Menu link title
4. In the Parent Item select box, choose <Emulation as a Service Menu>

You will not get the special layout unless you manually edit the URL Path to start with emulation/pathname  This is what triggers the layout switch in Drupal to put in the left column with menu and content block.  To do this,

1. Scroll all the way down on the page and click the tab labeled URL Path Settings
2. Un-tick the box labeled Generate automatic URL alias
3. Enter text into the textfield labeled URL alias starting with emulation/
4. Note that there is no initial slash in emulation
