Jessica Pigza started her position as Associate Director of Arts Library Special Collections on March 1st. Jessica manages the daily operations of our busy special collections unit comprised of five staff and several student assistants. She oversees research services, instruction, and outreach and selects new materials for the collection. Before coming to Yale, Jessica was Outreach & Exhibits Librarian at UC Santa Cruz in their special collections department. At the New York Public Library, she served in many different roles during her ten years there, most recently as Coordinator of Research Services for Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books. She is also author of the very fun and inspiring book, BiblioCraft: A Modern Crafter’s Guide to Using Library Resources to Jumpstart Creative Projects.
