The Roland Bainton Lectureship, inaugurated in 1988, represents the two foci of Professor Bainton’s life and work: church history and the church’s witness to peace and justice.
The Yale Divinity School’s named lectures are part of the Yale University Divinity School Memorabilia Collection (Record Group 53, Series V. Audio-Visual Materials) in Archives at Yale. Many lectures have been recorded and subsequently converted to digital format, and the resulting audio or video files are regularly added to the Yale Divinity Library Audio-Visual collections online.

Hello! I am the Access Services Librarian for the Divinity School Library, which means I am here to help you get access to the information you need - whether through Yale collections, interlibrary loan, or Borrow Direct. While I might not know everything, I can help you find almost anything. (Almost.)
I have a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion from Berea College, as well as an M.A. in Library and Information Studies from Louisiana State University. I'm also a student at Yale Divinity School and a postulant for holy orders in The Episcopal Church.
Connecting students with research materials and archival collections is a teaching and learning initiative of the Yale Divinity Library. We welcome opportunities to collaborate with Yale and non-Yale faculty, graduate instructors, and liaison librarians. We also encourage you to consider hosting your class or course with us as we help your students locate, study, and use our extensive array of primary and secondary resources.

Completely renovated in 2017, the Trowbridge Reading Room is a popular space for students and scholars who need to consult the Library's reference collection, or simply read or write in a quiet, inspiring ambience.
