Reports to: Risë Nelson, Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA)
Task Force Charge: The Staff Climate Survey Task Force is charged with supporting the Director for DEIA in producing a climate survey through which the Library Executive Committee (LEC) and the Advisory Committee on Library Staff Diversity & Inclusion will learn about Library staff members’ work experiences and needs regarding diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility to inform our action and accountability plans for supporting underrepresented staff retention and engagement. Members will:
assist in designing the survey such that we seek answers to questions that will help us understand our staff’s experiences, needs, and ideas
help promote the survey in order to ensure as many staff voices are heard
participate in early discussion(s) of the survey report towards the initial development of the Library’s DEIA action and accountability plan.
Committee eligibility: Any full- or part-time Yale Library staff member with a commitment to building a culture of mutual respect and recruiting and retaining a diverse staff. Interested staff members should first speak with their supervisors.
Frequency of Meetings: Biweekly until project completion
