Yale University Library Council

Statement of Vision

The University Library Council brings together a group of distinguished Yale alumni and friends of Yale who have a demonstrated commitment to the vision and goals of the Yale University Library system. Nancy M. Better ’84, Chair, works closely with University Librarian, Barbara Rockenbach. The Council aims to provide support for the Yale Library through strategic introductions, networking with individuals and foundations and facilitating regional events in order to help the Library realize its full potential as one of the world's leading research institutions. Council members are essentially at the core of the Library's development efforts, serving as its ambassadors in their spheres of influence.

Council Meetings and Events

The University Library Council meets twice yearly in New Haven and other venues. Council members are also generous hosts for Library fundraising events in their home cities.
