Syllagraphics

For decades, Women’s Studies has been a successful, vibrant, and constantly changing location for feminist inquiry in the American academy—illustrated best by the successive names by which it is known: Women’s Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies; Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, Feminist and Women’s Studies, Feminist Studies, WGSS & LGBTS. The Syllagraphics project will provide an interactive visualization of a collection of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) syllabi from 1979-2011 so that we we track the changes—large and small—which comprise the intellectual evolution of this field.
