This online exhibit celebrates the personal accomplishments and contributions of the women of YDS to the life and legacy of the school. It spotlights twelve “Trailblazers”: some of first women students, faculty, and administrators of Yale Divinity School.

Divinity Library & Special Collections

Beginning Wednesday November 25, 2020, through at least Monday, January 4, 2021:

  • The Divinity Library is closed to researchers  per Yale Library and University COVID-19 guidance.
  • However, staff members continue to offer reference and consultation services remotely, except during winter recess (December 23 - January 3): email or your Personal Librarian. For general questions, contact Ask Yale Library via email or chat.
  • Contactless pickup has been added at the Divinity School reception area to make pick up of materials easier for students living on or near the Divinity campus. Items may be requested for pickup at Divinity November 30 – December 18 (Monday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm). Non-divinity students who do not have swipe-access to the Divinity Quad should seek assistance at the Divinity reception desk.
  • Contactless pickup in Sterling will reopen on November 30 in Thain Café at Bass Library (Monday – Friday, 10 am – 3 pm).
  • Alternatively, you may request library materials, including BorrowDirect and interlibrary loan materials, to be mailed to any U.S. address. Or you may request to have materials scanned.
  • For scans of special collections materials, email the relevant special collections library or repository. 
  • Our vast electronic resources remain available to you wherever you are. Emergency access to HathiTrust e-books is ongoing.
  • Monitor the library’s COVID-19 page for updates on access and services.
