Short Description:
The digital collections access service (FindIt) is a digital collections search and access solution that includes mostly image-based content from Yale University Library.
Description

FindIt is built on the Samvera repository solution (Fedora, Solr, Ruby on Rails and Blacklight). All of these components are open source, community developed, and self supported.

Tightly coupled with FindIt, is a locally developed image hosting service running on imageserver.library.yale.edu.  This service delivers thumbnail and full format images that are embedded throughout FindIt search results and record views. The imageserver was developed using the Windows technology stack.

FindIt relies heavily on the locally developed Ladybird cataloging workbench, ingest tools, Aeon, and the Single Sign-on service.
