Yale University Archives

The University Archives serves as the official repository for the historical records of Yale University. The Archives:  

• works with the schools, departments, and university offices to appraise the records and publications they create and to select materials for preservation;  
• works with students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the university to collect documents, graphic materials, audio recordings, publications, and objects that document Yale life and history; 
• promotes, supports, and sponsors programs and activities that contribute to accessible information, interpretations, and research on Yale history.
