Given the broader definition of "reproduction" under RDA, Form of item r should not be limited to photocopies in RDA cataloging. Not sure why Biography wasn't coded, but it's consistent with the cataloging for the original, and there is no <Class of persons>--Biography subject used in the record. The record for the 1938 manifestation does not record an index; since the pagination hasn't changed, the assumption is that in the 1938 record the index was overlooked or the practice at the time was not to make a note.
