FY 15 Goals for Library Collection Services
- Administrative
- Complete the on-going LCS re-organization
- Finalize the transition to central university services (YPPS and TR&S) as the sole providers for the YUL’s mailing, shipping, and receiving needs.
- Train Access Services staff to perform in-house mail delivery and BD/ILL shipping and receiving at Sterling. Turn over responsibility for routinely performing those tasks to AS when training is completed.
- Re-locate SML-based LCS staff and their manager to Hamden and fully integrate them into current operations.
- Make necessary repairs to spare office at LSF to prepare it for the manager’s use.
- Design and outfit a new space to which the present scanning operation can be re-located.
- Re-write the job description for the Shipping and Receiving Manager and submit it to Comp and Class for a job audit.
- Complete the on-going LCS re-organization

- Assume responsibility for fulfilling ILL scanning requests for all materials shelved at LSF.
- Implement new auditing procedures to confirm inventory control at LSF.
- Re-align delivery services (Special Collection and Eli Express) to address the relocation of Beinecke Technical Services and YUL preservation to 344 Winchester Avenue.
- Strategic
- Begin planning to meet transportation demands that will arise with the re-location of SML Technical Services to 344 Winchester in FY 16.
