Upcoming Events: Artist Book Hour

Join us at the Haas Arts Library for a peek at artist books from the library's special collections! The term "artist book" can be hard to define. Simply put, an artist book ia an art object inspired by the form and/or function of a conventional book. Haas Arts Library has thousands of artist books in its special collections. Welcome Caroline Scheving

Caroline Scheving is the 2024/25 Kress Fellow in Art Librariansip. In this role, she will work on a range of projects at the Haas Arts Library and Yale Center for British Art. Caroline recently completed a dual master's degree program at Indiana University in Art History and Library Science. Her recent experience at Indiana University included serving as a part-time reference assistant at the Education Library, a part-time graduate assistant for the Art History department, and she was an inclusive collections assistant at the Herman B.

Welcome Erin Carney

On March 1st, Erin Carney joined the Haas Arts Library as library liaison for the David Geffen School of Drama and the Department of Theater and Performance Studies. Before coming to Yale, Erin was Information Literacy Librarian at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA.

Welcome Pauline Martin

Pauline Martin began her position as Head of Arts Library Access Services on January 1st. In this role, she supervises six library staff who are responsible for a range of library services including basic reference, library circulation, course reserves, resource sharing (e.g., Borrow Direct, ILL), and stacks maintenance. Pauline was previously the Head of Access Services and User Experience Librarian at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

New Exhibit: Lux et Femina: Women in Graphic Design at Yale

Part of the 50WomenAtYale150, this exhibition highlights works by women who graduated from the Graphic Design program at Yale School of Art. Like all the school’s programs, Graphic Design—the first graduate program in graphic design in the United States—has been coeducational since its founding, which took place in 1951 under Alvin Eisenman (1921–2013).
