Alumni Relations

The Yale University Archives seeks to collect documentation concerning alumni relations in the Yale community. Specific topics of interest include:

  • Services and programs of alumni associations, boards and classes that cultivate and maintain relationships with/among alumni
  • Lives and careers of alumni
  • New policy, procedure, initiative development in either of the above areas

Archival records

Examples of records of interest to the Archives, regardless of format:

  • Aggregate data and analyses of alumni and individual classes
  • Biographical records
  • Correspondence
  • Meeting minutes and ephemera of alumni committees and clubs
  • Records of the Corporation’s Committee on Development and Alumni Affairs
  • Photographs and audio-visual resources
  • Policies and procedures
  • Publications (see Depositing Official Yale Publications), websites, and other publicity materials

Office of record

The Association of Yale Alumni, the Alumni Information and Records Office, directors of alumni relations in the professional schools, and officers of alumni clubs maintain the record copy of documentation about alumni relations.
